Some of the arbor-vitae ang juni- per placed in the Island several years ago had died, while other plants in the too-thickly planted island had grown irregularly, giv- ing the plot a somewhat abandoned appearance. The plants were thin- ned out, dead ones removed, and the irregularly formed plants were replaced. Living plants salvaged from the island were taken to the Pewage Disposal Plant property, north of town. where they were re- planted.
