Lutz, 87, a na- tive of Rebersburg who had been making her home with her son, Ir- vin Lutz, at Jersey Shore, died at the latter's residence Monday eve- ning, March 3, 1041, Surviving be- sides the son, Irvin, are two other sons, John R., Rochester, N. Y., and Harry, Lansing, Mich; three daugh- ters, Mrs. Meta Stabley and Mrs Clair Lauer, Williamsport; Mrs Mary Lair, Salona; 11 grandchild- ren and eight great-grandchildren TOBIA PLOZNER Tobla Plozner, well known Buffalo Run Valley farmer and former em- ploye of the old Centre County Lime Company, died at 11:30 o'clock Mon- day’ morning, March 3, 1041, at the Centre County Hospital after a two weeks’ {liness with influenza. He was admitted to the hospital a week be-| fore death resulted but failed to re- spond to treatment, Mr. Plozner Was a son of Tobia and Orsola Plozner and was born in Italy on April 27, 1887, making his age at time of death 53 years, 10 months and 6 days, His wife, the former Orsola Mentril, passed away in July, 1939 Surviving are these children Tobia, Jr. Angelo, Mary and Virginia all at home, and a brother and sister John Plozner, of Bellefonte, and Mrs Angelo Mozier, residing in Italy. He was & member of St. John's Catholic church, Bellefonte. Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock this Thurs married and is survived by a sister, Mrs. Philip Pate, of East McKees- port, with whom he made his home, and a brother, Robert B, Schrefller, of Chicago. Miss Joanna Decker, of Bellefonte, is a full cousin, Funeral services were held at the Pate resi- dence in McKeesport Monday night, with the Rev. D. Lefter Say officiat- ing. The body was brought to Zion where further services were held | Tuesday afternoon in the Zion Re- [formed church, with the Rev. [Interment was made in the Zion | cemetery, Mr. Schreffler spent his | boyhood years in the Zion area and was quite well known locally through visits with relatives In this part of the country. Faber, well known retired Pennsylvania rallroad freight sta- tion clerk, who made his home with Mr. and Mrs. David Jones, Altoona, {died at 9:25 o'clock Monday night, March 3, 1941, at the Altoona Hos- pital after an extended illness. Born June 3, 1865, Centre county he was a son of John C. and Sarah (Nicholas) Adams Faber. He retired from the employ of the rallroad company six years ago. He is survived only by one half-brother, Harry B8Swoope Adams, of Tyrone. Mr. Faber was & member of the Grace Methodist church and the P. O. 8. of A. day morning at St, John's Catholic] church, Bellefonte, with the Rev Father Willlam E. Downes officiat- ing. Interment will be made in the Catholic cemetery, Bellefonte. MARTIN McGOWAN Martin McGowan, highly esteem- ed and oldest resident of Moshan- non, passed away at his home there Wednesday evening, Feb 26, 1041, at 6:15 o'clock of complications due to advanced age. Mr. McGowan, who spent all his life in Moshannon, was interested in lumbering during his younger days, and for the last 50 years conducted a blacksmith shop there. He was 82, and the last sur- viving member of his family, Mr McGowan was born in Moshannon September 28, 1858, a son of Patrick and Honorah McGowan, of County Clare, Ireland. His wife, the former Margaret Flanigan, died February 16, 1939. At the time of her dealn they were the oldest living couple of St. Mary's parish, both being very active in the planning of the present church structure, and their parents were instrumental in the founding of the first Catholic church for the St. Mary's parish, Snow Shoe, The following daughters sur- vive: Misses Clare and Ann, at home, and Miss Mabel of State Col- lege. Punera] services were held Sat- urday morning at 10 o'clock, with the Rev. J P. Connelly officiating Interment was made in the family piot in the St Mary's cemetery, Snow Shoe. E. BEACH SCHREFFLER E. Beach Schrefller, of East Mc- Keesport, native of Zion and for forty years an employe of the West- inghouse Electric and Manufactur- ing Company, died at 8 o'clock SBat- | urday night March 1, 1941, in a McKeesport Hospital 12 hours after he had suffered a cerebral hemor- rhage. Mr. Schreffler was an engin- eer for the Westinghouse Company and about ten years ago was sent to Chile to supervise the installation of the first electric railroad in that country, being located in that coun- | try for more than two years, He was a member of the I. O. O. PF. lodge at Wikinsburg and was a member of various other organizations.
