Perks, retired railroad- er. at his home in Osceola Mills following an acute heart attack, Mr Perks was born in Philipsburg Jan- uary 11, 1872, a son of the late James and Ella Jones Perks, He was twice married, his first wife being the late Miss Lulu Lucas, of Phil. ipsburg. His second wife, the former Miss Edith McFadden, of Osceola Mille, died 15 years ago. Surviving are his son, Donald, with whom he had been lving at the Perks home, and one sister, Mrs. 8. Roy Prank, of Philipsburg. Mr. Perks was a mem- ber of the Presbyterian church. For| 47 years he was an employe of the raliroa:l. enlering the service In 1899 as a freight brakeman. Pollow- ing a serious injury received in the freleght service, he was transferred and became ag passenger brakeman in 1890.
