Glenn Rogers, county Super- intendent of Schools, presented the diplomas to the graduates and Eu- gene Burkholder, president of the Alumni Association presented the landscaping project to the school The Rev. KEENER IS SPEAKER AT BACCALAUREATE SERVICE “Meeting the Chalenge” was the theme of the baccalaureate sermon delivered in the Lutheran church Sunday night by the Rev. D. R Keener to twenty-five graduatin students, their griends and rela- tives In this sermon which grew out of the class motto “We are ready,” the Rev, Mr, Keener called attention to these problems awaiting so'ution today, fear must be supplanted by confidence, chaos by order ugliness by beauty, waste by conservation, and hate by love. To accomplish these ends the world needs more people with “spiritual insight, intellectual pre- paration, and moral passion.” The graduating class, garbed in gray academic caps and gowns, the faculty in gowns appropriate to their degrees, and the underclass- men entered the church during the processional hymn, marshalled by Alice Slack and Mark Jordon, nior students elected by the s¢ niors for this occasion. The Lutheran church choir, recited by Donald Shope. sang an anthem appropriate to the season and the Rev. C. C.
