Page 1 Eight OBITUARY | GEORGE CHARLES GLENN George Charles Glenn, for many years constabie and police officer in Bellefonte, died suddenly at his home on Ridge street at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, of a heart con- dition. A week ago Mr. Glenn suf- fered the first ¢f a series of heart attacks but on the day before his death had walked down town. He had planned to go out Tuesday on a business mission but changed his plans. Death came suddenly a short time after he had walked from a davenport in the living room to a chair in the dining room, where he was conversing with his wife, Mr Glenn was a son of David M. and Catherine Ramer Glenn and was born in Central City, Boggs town- ship, on August 28, 1867, making his age at time of death 71 years 11 months and 4 days. He was united in marriage with Annie Lingle, who survives with a son and three daughters: James and Mrs. Leslie N. Shaw, both Bellefonte; Mr: Philip Yessler, York, and Mrs Anna Latson Rochester, N. Y Also surviving are two sisters: Mrs James Dawson and Mrs. Edward Stover, both of DuBois Funeral services will be held from the late residence on Ridge street at 2 o'- clock on Friday afternoon, with the Rev. H. Willis Hartsock, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating Interment will be made in the Un- jon cemetery. Mr. Glenn was a member of the Methodist church, and for many years was a police officer in Bellefonte. For more 20 years he had been the south ward, a position at the time of his of of of death. NOLAN Mrs. Rebecean Gardner Nolan, wife of Joseph Thomas Nolan, for many vears a well known resident Bellefonte, died at her home in Crider's Exchange apartments, North Allegheny street, at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon after an of more than a vear's duration with a complication of diseases. She was a daughter of Philip and Sarah Long Gardner Lynch and was born at Roanoke, Va., on July 21, 1886, making her age at time death 53 vears and 11 days. Mrs Witter is a graduate of the DuBois High school and for several years has served as cashier at the Prudential Insurance Compiny office, DuBois Lieut. Witter, also a graduate of the DuBois High school. attended Temple University, Philadelphia, and was graduated from the Gov- ernment Aviation School, Kelly Field. San Antonio, Texas. Until last April he had served as an army aviation stationed at Mitchell Field, L. 1. He recently completed a four months’ course in the gov- ernment aviation school, Washing- ton, D.
