Gentzel, who resides on a farm near the Belle- fonte airport, found what is com- monly known as a chimney swallow in his back yard. The bird was in- jured, and although Mr. Gentzel fed it and tried to restore it to health, it died. Upon removing an alumine um band from the birds leg, Mr. Gentzel found instructions to notify the Bureau of Biological Survey, De- partment of Agriculture, at Wash- e chil- Ralph of Piits- in ington, D. C., in case of the gwallow’s | death. This week Mr. Gentzel re- eeived a letter from the Bureau! stating that the bird, a chimney swift, had been banded on October 11, 1938 at Atlanta Georgia, which is approximately 850 miles from Belle- fonte as the swallow flies. ~<A fight during a baseball game at the High School commons, las!
