Clarence Arnold, pas- tor of St. John's Lutheran church has been confined to his home on Fast Linn Street several days be- cause of on attack of lumbago. Al- though suffering considerably from the illness. Sunday, the Rev. Mr. Arnold was able to conduct services as usual —Mrs. Kate Stover. of the White apartments on West High Street is reported to be recovering slowly from an illness from which she has been suffering for the past two weeks. Mrs. Stover is 78 years of age, lives alone in the apartment and normally does all the household work herself, —Mr, and Mrs. Lysle Freeborough and daughter. Swartz, Register of Wills of Erie County, reported to be recovering slowly from a serious abdominal operation he underwent recently. The operation was per- formed at the Grove Ct'y Clinic by Dr Bashline. Mr. Swartz is well known to Centre Countians and is a son of the late Lincoln Swariz. of Hublersburg. —Minot L. Willard, who for the past three years has been employed in New York City, arrived in Belle- fonte Saturday to spend a week's vacation as a guest of his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs Robert T.
