Hayes, of Belle- fonte, five scholarships worth $86 each are given each year to the flve coun- ties of the state showing the highest ratio of students in the college to the total population of the county. The successful counties for 1914 are: Blair, Centre, Dauphin, Montour, and Wyoming. The county superintend- ent of schools together with the high school principals of each county con- stitute a governing board to make this appointment before June 1st.
