Mrs. Hall whose malden name was
Bliza Willlams, is a sister of the late
George Williams, of Bellefonte, and
was born and raised at

Thursday found the shed skin of
blacksnake which measured seven
feet in length and was six inches In

on the Snow Shoe branch of the P. R
RR. with headquarters in Bellefonte
but who left Bellefonte fourteen years
ago and is now a conductor in the
yards at Pittsburg, is visiting friends
in Bellefonte and at his old home in
Wingate. He expects to leave this
week for New York to spend the bal-
ance of his vacation.

«Mathew Conoway, of Snow Shoe,
was arrested at the Fair ground last
Friday afternoon by Constable Horace
Musser, charged with abusing his
step-daughter, Miss Zola Decker and
disturbing the place. On his promise
to return to Bellefonte later for a
hearing he was allowed to proceed to
his home and true to his word showed
up bright and early Monday morning
at Squire W. H. Musser's office in
this place. Hire wife and step-daugh-
ter were the prosecutors. After hear
ing the evidence the Justice bound
him over under $300 ball to keep the
peace for one year, and after paying
the costs amounting to $9.65, he de-
parted for home, r. Conoway is tax
collector and supervisor of Snow Shoe
township, This Is not the first time
he has been before Squire Musser but
he says this will be a lesson to him
and never more will he transgress,
