Page 2. THE CENTRE DEMOC RAT, BELLEFONTE, PEN NA. a — HUBLERSBURG. John Kline, a youth 22 years oid, who lived with his father near Sny- dertown, was on Wednesday evening struck by the Central Railroad of Penna, passenger train while on his wdy home from where he had been working, about 7 o'clock, and instant- ly killed. The unfortunate young man had been employed by Clyde Lee, who lives about one and one-half miles south of Hublersburg, and after he had eaten his supper started to walk to either his home or Hublersburg, where his custom was to meet the boys who gather at the store to spend the evening. It may be possible that he intended to visit his parents; at any rate he took the right-of-way as a short cut, and turned his right toward Hublersburg, walking on the right of the track on the cinder path, as the passenger train bore down up- on him. He was unmindful of his danger, being attracted by either the noise or wind. Instinctively Kline turned to the right to what was approaching and in an instant he was struck with such forge, that the lert side of his head was crushed and his neck broken Death was Instantan- eous. The body of the young man was brought to Hublersburg station and the coronor notified of the facts. John Kline was born and lived all his life in this vicinity, being a kindly, genial young man in spite of his af- fiction, (deaf and dumb). His death is mourned by his many friends. Fun- eral services were held Friday morn- ing at 9 o'clock from Cleve McAulay's home, conducted by Rev. Schultz, as- sisted by Revs. Hoover and Deitrick. to Nee Hublersburg, No. 2. M.
