Aan automobile near the Lyric theatre
on Bishop street. The car, driven by
Daniel Houser, of Benner township,
was coming down east Bishop street,
intending to turn up Allegheny, when
thé boy ran in front of it. Fortu-
nately Mr. Houser was running slow-
ly, but the Impact was sufficient to
throw the boy to the hard brick pav-
mg, on which he received a number
of bruises. He was pulled out from
under the car after It had stopped,
but escaped being run over by any
of the wheels. No blame can be at-

might have happened had It been one
of the swiftly moving autoes that
tear through the streets, is a serious
matter to think of.
