Corman, Esq. in Minneapolis, a genealogy of the Corman family reaching back to 1713. Some of the Corman ploneers who came from Ger- many served in the Revolutionary war under Washington Prof. Henry Elmer Bierly, who Is prominently connected with the edu- cational Interests of the South, stop- ped over a week with his mother, Mrs. Joseph Bierly, Rebersburg, being on his way to New York, Boston and Philadelphia, in connection with the business end of the Southern Educa- tional Association of which he is secretary and manager. Elmer, as we all know him, is one of the many na- tives of Brush Valley, who are a cred- it to the county and the state, and yet he is one of the most modest of men. He now occuples a prominent chair in the faculty of the University at Chat- tanooga, Tennessee, having made a special study of biology and all those branches of science which human and animal life, the develop- ment of the child into the man, and the destiny of that immortal men call the soul, mind, spirit or nephesh. He has attained an emi- nence in his profession of which are all very proud His motto been to accomplish everything and never leave anything but done. Having graduated at Prince- ton, with the degree of M.
