Lorenz, a Gas Springs {farmer who drove into Hornell, Thurs day afternoon, told the following tale in the market place on Canisteo street “One of my most valuable cows was blown up last evening and partially con- sumed by fire. 1 had left two gallons of kerosene in the barnyard, and the pail containing it was empty. While I was trying to find what od tocome of it, my son, Jeferson, informed me there was a sick cow in the cattle yard.
