H. Lingle was taken ill and for a time her condition gavetmuch concern, as typhoid fever was feared. She was moved from the hotel to a cottage and since then her atilment has prove to be a form of tox- ine poisoning. A lettler from Mr, Lingle, yesterday, states that she is im- proving, and no serious results are ap- prehended. ~A report last week that there was not enough of water to supply the wants of the Bellefonte hatchery, made some of our people feel blue, but that was soon dispelled by gathering io copiously from othet sources, as mentioned in another notice. There is water to be found in almost every hill and hollow in Bellefonte and vicinity, even in every bottle of whisky. We do not go dry here by a long shot, ~With a view to purchase, Capt. H. 8. Taylor and Ellis L. Orvis offered to give the bond holders of the Gas Co, a second mortgage on the property for $30,000 and to place a first mortgage of $12,000 on it, the proceeds of the latter to be expended in putting the plant in first class repair, About half of the bond holders were present at the meeting and signified their willingness to accept the proposition but it cannot go through until all of them are heard from.
