From 5.000 t0 10,000 quail were put on the preserve and up wards of 50,000 trout in the stream. But the quail migrated and died in the rigors of the wister season and the trout died and were caught by poachers, antil during the last two years, there has been neither hunting nor fishing on the pre. serve, A large clubhouse was erected and handsomely furnished and this made the resort for days at a time by members from all over the state.
