This band 1s very handsomely uniformed, the members are gentlemen of character and intelligence and under the able con- ductorship of Mr. Meyer have obtained proficiency in music not gsurpassed by any band in the county. They first visit. ed the “hill”’ and delighted the folks of that locality with a ‘“‘concord of sweet sounds’’ not often equalled. Then they serenaded merchant O. T, Corman by playing several lively and very choice pieces of music. After which Mr. Cor- man with his usual hospitality invited the company into his parlors and regaled them with his celebrated ice cream and cake. The band finally visited the post- office and there where ‘merchants most do cougregate’” again delighted the assemblage with some ot their charming pieces of music. they were applauded to the very echo.
