Colyer. Three cheers for Colyer! Two wed. dings during last week, the most roman- tic part about it being a father and son to marry in one week, and neither being aware of the other marrying. On Tues- day morning Calvin Bodtorf and Mrs. Katie Reiber (widow of Geo. Reiber dec’d) left this place for Bellefonte where | they secured their licenses and were mar- | ried by Rev. Dr. Shriner, at the M. EB. parsonage. Thursday noon Charles A. Bodtorf, son of Calvin Bodtorf, of this place, an industrious young man, and of late being employed as a grinder at the Yeagertown ax-factory, and Miss Minnie Fahringer, of this place, were escorted by a brother-in-law of the groom, Wm, Ripka, to Spring Mills, where they were married by Rev. J. Fenstermacher at the Evangelical parsonage. The scribe wishes them a pleasant voyage over life's tempestaous sea. Andrew Jordan, who bad his leg broke some time ago, is able to be up and about by the assistance of his most faith- ful boys, especially his son Wm. from Philadelphia, who is home, and who had special training in the hospital as a nurse. Rd. now gives all his attention to his aged father, who is doing so well much credit due to Wm, Mrs. Mancy Meiss, who has ber home with her son George, fell on the ice last week, injuring her side, of which she has not yet fully recovered. Wm. C. Bunnell, from Milroy, had an up-set with an organ on his sled, on Sat- urday afternoon, near the residence of Foster Fraizer, the horses almost got away, pinning him against the fence in- juriog him quite a bit. Misses Mary and Blanche Moyer, the two lovely and only daughters, of Mr, and Mrs. J. H. Moyer, spent Saturday afternoon at the home of their friend Miss Blanche Housman. Wm. C. Farner spent Sunday as a guest at the home of Squire J. 8. Hous- man’s. C. EB. McClellan, from Millheim, visit. ed his brother at this place. John Bodtorf, from Yeagertown, form- erly of this place, visited over Sunday in our commuuity. Wm. Stump left last Thursday for an extended visited tbrough Mifflin and Snyder counties. Mrs. Annie Kritzer, from Penn Hall, visited at the home of her uncle, Squire J. S. Houseman, Jacob F. Rover, of Penn Hall, visited his brother John, they intend to move to this place in the spring on Squire Hous- man's farm. Wm.
