Mr. Brickley was much improved, having spent one week at the Williamsport hospital. Miss Meekley, of Hyblersburg, made a brief visit last week at the home of Mrs. Singer. Jonathan Brickley’s are rejoicing over the arrival of a bouncing boy. Jacob Welch, at this writing, is at home sick, but expects to return to work in a few days. Mr. Kimble, of Williamsport, at present visiting his daughter Mrs. K. D. Packer of this place. Prof. James Gregg, of Milesburg, ¢ in our town on Monday the 24 inst. Mr. Wm. Harvey and family, of Flemington, were the guests of Mr. Wm. Wensel over last Sunday. Mr. Harvey came on Saturday in order to look after the interest of his farm on which Mr. Wensel lives. He is doing more to im prove his new farm than all the other farmers in the valley combined. Mr Harvey is a thorough business man and knows ‘‘where he is at.’ Prof. H. P.
