| A FARMERS LEAGUE, Farmers from Eleven Pennsylvania Counties Organize, GREENSBURG, Pa,, May 81.—Repre- sentative farmers from eleven counties in the state wet here for the purpose of forming an organization to be known as the Farmers’ State League, the objects of which are to protect the farmers against political jobbers in legislation and to seck representation in all mat ters touching their interests. The league will be made up of members of both parties, State Organizer Pierce, of the New York Dairvmen's associa tion, was present and talked encourag- ingly of sunilar organizations in other states. There were two representatives from each of the eleven connties and Jetinmnent officers were elected as fol- OWS! President, J. K. McElhoes, of Indiana: secretary, J. LeMoyne, of Washington; vice president, Eashart Reeder, of Ve- nango, and treasurer, Isaac Hazen, of Crawford. The exeentive committee consists of J. 8. Buneannon, of Washing ton: D. 8. Dixon, of Allegheny; J. C MeClure, of ‘Westmoreland: [san Hazen, of Crawford, and Harry Mahn, of Indinng. A meeting will be held in Pittsburg at an early date, ut which time it is expected that the roll of mem- bership will be largely increased.
