Mr. Flanding of Lock Haven, offered a prayer, and then a regu- lar missionary hymn, “Watchman, Tell us of the Night,”’ was rendered. Miss Ella Rhone of this place, delivered a low ‘Words of Welcome' to the dele- gates, officers, visitors, strangers, in brief, to all. It was couched in graceful words, avolded old-time hackneyed forms of ex- pression, and was bright with wit and geniality. Rev. C thas. Steck added hig voice and open arms, welcoming them in the name of the cross, for which all Chris- tians of all households of faith are vali- antly fighting: Miss Dornblaser respond- ed in a written address, strong in its ex- pressions of spiritual faith, devotion and encouragement, and read with much ener. gy of style. Miss Nannie D. Britt, of Wheeling, Va, sang a solo in & rich, contralto voice. An intensely interesting sermon was de, livered by Cev, C. W. Heisler. The ti.le on the program was ‘Witnesses for Jesus.’ After the sermon the president an- nounced the committee on resolutions, as follows : Mrs. Rev.
