women of all clss-cs, who may wi-lt to
fit themselves for agricultural nn-i nta

We demand that the legislature

In these our laudable effort* we in

party considerations, to join with u. so
that we may have a "government of the
people, for the people, and by the peo

Tux /'re*: says that while Nileg favored
a fair apportionment on the floor of the
House he did not favor a Democratic
apportionment. But he did support
the Democratic theory of dividing the
congressional districts upon Hie basis of
the vote. He proclaimed that if the
parties were equal in the number of
their votes each should have half the
district*, and only differed from the
Democrat* in maintaining Hint they
were entitled to only twelve instead of
thirteen congressmen. When the Dem
ocrats offered to take twelve and even
eleven where was Nile* ? He mounted
tho fence and kept the same silence as
when asked last fall to decide between
Heaver and Stewart.

A* a reporter for the Pittsburg I'm
m-Tfial Gazette sat (yesterday afternoon)
in a chamber at No. 321 Federal street,
Allegheny, listening to a terrible talent
suffering as it fell from the lips of a
gentle little lady, Mrs. Milo Ingram, the
daughter of Capt. Hugh McKelvey, of
this city, it seemed almost too much to
believe, if the evidence bad not been
close at hand to substantiate
every word. It was but another ovi
dence of the culpable ignorance of a
large class of practitioners of medicine
who claimed for six years that her ter
rible disease was cancer, Sho was cov
ered with ulcers, given up to die, Peruna
cured her perfectly. Continued on page
