Heat less days chilled winter buying. The war ended. Business boomed until there was net enough newsprint te carry the adver tising offered. The Great Depression hit us, and 1921 rewarded fighters only. There have Ken ups and downs, but en the whole The Chicago Tribune has held its gains. Tribune circulation is far mere than twice what it was ten years age. Tribune advertising today is av eraging double the volume of ten years age. Mere than eighty thousand columns of advertising will be printed in The Chicago Tribune this year. Total Chicago Tribune business has, there fore, increased mere than four tunes in the last decade. Today The Tribune is supreme among Chicago newspapers printing mere local advertising than any ether, mere national ad vertising than any ether, and mere want advertising than all the ethers combined. The Sunday Tribune has mere circulation than its rival. Sunday paper. The Daily Tribune leads the next daily paper by 25. Even in city and suburban circulation The Tribune, either daily or Sunday, has distanced competition.
