faster, faster, until they reached tho
top. Then they could climb no higher,
and the many-legged creatures were
right behind them.
"Be brave!" shouted Iilllre "I'll
fight them as long as I can." It didn't

and snatched him from the green trunk,
just In time to escape the jaws of the
many-ieggcq crcnturcs.
"Fcnr not," spoko tho soft voice of
one ot tno nvmiors in I'cggy s car.
"You saved the tiny fairlei from their
foes thp swamp pirates, nnd now the
tiny fnlrles hnvp snved you."
This surprised Peggy. Where were
the fnlrlcs? And how had tho fnlrlcs
saved them?
Peggy wns to lenrn soon, nnd thereby
was to get another surprise, as will
be told tomorrow.
