Joseph's Gates to Be Open Dally This Week A Jong waiting line of eager chil dren at Sixteenth street and Uirard avenue yesterday afternoon revealed that the promised garden party and lawn fete had opened on the grounds of the St. Joseph's Hospital. For the rest of the week the hospital will give the fete for the benefit of its boclal service department. It will bo open from 2 until 10 o'clock each day. One corner of the lawn has been made into a Japanes-e tea garden, with a booth and rus-tic shelter surrounded by several tables, the whole lit up by rows of Japanese lanterns. Tea and other drinks, Ice cream nnd hot waf fles, made right on the spot, will cheer .those who enter the garden. The entire scene Is one of beauty: inaDy booths are draped with e!low and white and the red, white and blue, and hovering about like little fairies are little girls with bunches of gay-colored bnllooub almost as big as themselves.
