"Well what about it?" Parr asked her. "What about what?" she nixed. "You know." the soldier said, re ferring to his proposal of a month ago thnt was unanswered. "No. not until June," Miss Hanson told him. Parr then drew the bottle containing the poison from his pocket and declared his intention to drain it. Miss Hanson screamed for her moth er, Mrs. Margaret Hanson, and together they struggVd to gain possesion of the poison bottle. Parr had removed the cork to carry out his threat, and ome of the liquid spil'ed on their hands. The soldier flnallv broke away from the girl nnd her mother and ran from the house. A few minutes later he drained the contents of the poison bottle whjle standing at Kensington and Allegheny avenue?. .... Phvslcians hold out little hope for his recovery. The soldier has been in the service seven year.i and is an over seas veteran.
