The executive committee of the aguc to Enforco Peace yesterday defined Its position on the League of Notions, giving a list of many of tho present tasks which tho league has undertaken. The statement was prepared some time ago, but bos been withheld to wait the approval of William Howard Taft, president of the league, which was received yesterday. The statement said: "The League to Enforce Peace Is a nonpartisan organisation founded to se cure nn association of nations to mini mise war. Both parties have confirmed the necessity and given assurance of the formation of such nn association. It Is not our function to cast our Influ ence on the side of any political party." Tho statement then points out the ac tivities of the league and goes on : "The league has not functioned in the present war between Poland and ItUB9ia because, being on unfinished part of the great war, It lias not been taken out of the hands of the Supreme Coun ell of Allied Powers.
