"Today it is as difficult almost to get suitable
office bpaco in which to transact business as to obtain
a suitablo house in which to live. Thero is no
ultorlago of buildings that could bo transformed into
fnirly good ofllco structures."
(Richard Spillano in a recent issuo of tho Public
Ledger.)
Here is a. suggestion to owners of buildings now devoted
to less productive purposes. Why not convert them into
oflicos bringing you bigger permanent returns from
your investment and. affording homes' for many business
men who are now located in less desirable quarters?
After the necessary alterations are made, finish with

Don't You Get Tired of
Grinding Valves?
OF what value is a motor that is forever in
the repair shop? forever accumulating
carbon? forever developing engine trouble?,
forever an invalid in need of a doctor?
The Willys-Knight motor, with-its sleeve valve
principle, has no valves to grind, and long use
serves only to seal up its compression and re-vitalize
its power.
The life of an ordinary motor is simply a period
of intermittent convalescence. The life of a
Willys-Knight is one long unbroken span of
robust, rcinvigorated performance.
When the average car is recuperating in the
repair shop, the Willys-Knight still carries on!
It is the nearest thing to perpetual motion yet
developed in an automobile.

Construction Service
which starts with
the idea and delivers
the finished structure
FJ construction the Goethals plan is unique.
It covers the entire life of the project from
the original conception to delivery of the fin
ished structure, ready to operate. This compre
hends engineering, architecture, management of
construction and equipment layout.
We begin with the idea, often assisting in
the choice of location. We create the designs,
plans and specifications. We act as technical
agents for the owner, either (a) employing
special contractors for each class of work, or
(b) organising a construction force, paid by the
owner, and directed by us or (c) by combina
tion of both.
In the case of factories, mills, shops, power
plants, harbor developments and terminals, we
study the processes, design and build the struc
tures to fit them, lay out and select equipment,
and supervise installation.
Goethals, Wells 5? Co., Inc., works upon a
fee, fixed in advance by contract. We shall be
glad to be consulted about projects of any size
and' character from a small factory to large
public works.;
The parent corporation, George W. Goethals & Co.,
Inc., is available to undertake the management of a
new enterprise, or to reinforce the existing manage
ment until it is established and operating effectively.
It also matys examinations and reports upon all
kinds of industrial and commercial enterprises.
