The Schroon, responding to n dis tress call, found the steanjshlp Chetopa wallowing helpless In n rough sea twenty-two miles off Cape Cod last Monday afternoon. The Chetopa Jiatl been dis abled since Friday, liiivliig broken two propeller blade. The Schroon took the disabled vessel In tow and started to bring her to this port, AVord was received liec today that the International Mercantile Ma ripe Corporation, operating the Che topa, would send Iurs from New York to take the crippled ship to that port. The Schroou is operated by the American Line. The ship is returning from her third trip from Philadelphia to Hotterdam. The Chetopa was on her way from Liverpool to New York.
