The New York Evening Sun's closing financial review toiluy says : The line of cleavajjc between the in dustrial and railroad lists was clearly defined when trading in the stock mar ket was resumed today. The shares of the former were distinctly soft nt the opening and continued so for the first hour or more when they steadied and I at intervals thereafter displayed some 1 firmness. It was aparcnt, neverlhe I less, that bullish initiative was absent j in that quarter. I With regard to the rails, on the con trary, there was an incipient forwurd i movement, under the leadership of I I'niou I'ucilic, which advanced through lrfl to a .i-point gain early in the ses sion.
