The Campaign Ends on Xmas Eve. S. E. Pennsylvania Chapter's Quota is 500,000 President Wilson's Proclamation states: "Red Cross Membership is the Christmas spirit in terms of action." Next to the Army and Navy comes the RED CROSS. The President's WISH should be to us a COM MAND. Each Man, Woman and Child, who can afford it, should join NOW. TO THE EMPLOYEE Cut this "Ad" out and hand it to your Boss. The more handed him the better. It will indicate that he may hope for a big percentage of members in HIS establishment. REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD BE A MEMBER; if married, why your wife and children should join; if single, why your sweetheart or friends should enroll. THE RED CROSS is daily saving thousands of American lives. 5th It is helping their families at home. Only Red Cross Members Are Permitted to Display This Service Flag 1st Because it cares for the wounded men in the armies of our Allies and returns a large per centage to the front. Each English, French or Italian fighter saved takes the place of one of OUR BOYS. 2nd It clothes and feeds their families and keeps up the fighting spirit of the husbands, sons and brothers in the armies of our Allies. 3rd It is working for our Army. 4th It is working for our Navy. 6th It is working for you. 7th A large and devoted Red Cross Army of Civilians is a fitting Xmas gift to OUR BOYS at the front, and will show the Kaiser the American people are back of our President. 8th "A Heart and a Dollar are all You Need!" 9th Because it's Xmas, and endorsdd by labor organizations. TO THE 'EMPLOYER To help we ask that you: 1 st Appoint an individual or committee in your organization to solicit members in your executive offices. 2nd Appoint a foreman's committee to solicit members in your factory or plant organization. 3rd Have representatives or your appointed committees visit headquarters in the Lincoln Build ing, 45 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, to obtain the following necessary supplies: a. Posters for your off icea and plants, .. b. Temporary receipt books (certificates of membership, on request, will be mailed indi viduals after the campaign is over), c. Membership buttons, d. Pay envelopes and letter inserts, e. Paper service flags. Supplies will be sent on application by phone or letter to Ed. L. D. Roach. 4th Request employee committees to hold a meeting of employees as soon as possible and address , them on the subject, or arrange for a speaker through Headquarters (phone Walnut 6230), J. V. Lucas, Chairman Industrial Committee. , 5th Obtain a supply of dodger inserts at once, and have them in all letters and employees' pay envelopes between now and Christmas. 6th Return all membership fees, receipt stubs and unused receipts (registered) to Campaign Headquarters. , , Make checks payable to S. E. Pa. Chapter, Membership Committee. t 7th After the campaign is over, please report the number of employees in your establishment and the percentage of membership. The season is opportune.
