1AST YEAR The Chicago Tribune printed more advertising than any
-1 other morning and Sunday newspaper in the world.
In the first five months of this year The Chicago Tribune has beaten
its own record for the corresponding period of last year by 3,921 columns
or 20 per cent. r
The' Chicago Tribune's gain in this period is more than twice as great
as the gain of the next Chicago paper; more than twice as great as the
combined gain of the other Chicago morning and Sunday papers; within 561
columns of as great as the gain of all the other Chicago papers combined.
In the first five months of this year The Chicago Tribune has printed
more advertising by 2,120 columns than the other Chicago morning and
Sunday papers combined.
