quisite gown of Ivory white duchesse
satin with a long squaro train and her
filmy tullo veil was attached to tho hair
by a coronet of orange blossoms. She
carried a graceful shower bouquet of

trimmed with brown fox fur and silver
lace and woro a silver lace hat trimmed
with fur and taupo velvet plumes. The

bon and a hat of pink chiffon and silver

from 8 until 10 o'clock, after which Mr.
and Mrs. Williamson will leave for their
wedding trip, and on their return will
be at home at Grove Dale, Olney.

A benutlful wedding will tako' place to
night In the Gaston Presbyterian Church,

Miss Jane S. Winder, daughter of Mrs.

Roxborough
A delightful reception was given . Mon
day night In honor of Mrs. Roslna Metzler
at her home, 185 Conarroe street, Roxbor
ough, in celebration of her 90th birthday
anniversary. Mrs. 'Metzler wns born on
October 9, 1825, In Alsace-Lorraine and
came to this country with her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Peter Moke, In 1855 and set
tled In Roxborough, where she was mar
ried that year to Mr. Frederick Metzler.
The latter died In 1895. Mrs. Metzler has
five sons, Peter, Frederick, Michael,
Jacob and Martin, all well-known busi
ness men; 19 grandchildren and 10 great
grandchildren. Tho entertainment was
arranged by Mrs. Metzlers children and
the Ladles' Aid Society of the German
Lutheran Church of Roxborough, of
which she has been an active member
since Its organization. Unusually well
preserved, with bright eyes that have
never been aided by glasses, Mrs. Metzler
walks to church on all clear Sundays and
takes an active Interest In all Its varied
works and charities.
Tho house was beautifully decorated
with palms, ferns and autumn flowers.
There were about 200 guests.

eran of the Civil War, A few years ago
he was active In political affairs In Dela
ware County, and has been an ardent
suffragist He announced himself In favor
of suffrage for women 40 years ago In the
days when such a thing as universal suf
frage was hardly thought of. Before her
marriage Mrs. Edwards was Mies Emma
Holt, daughter of the late Thomas Holt,
a Delaware County manufacturer.
