Roxborough A delightful reception was given . Mon day night In honor of Mrs. Roslna Metzler at her home, 185 Conarroe street, Roxbor ough, in celebration of her 90th birthday anniversary. Mrs. 'Metzler wns born on October 9, 1825, In Alsace-Lorraine and came to this country with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Moke, In 1855 and set tled In Roxborough, where she was mar ried that year to Mr. Frederick Metzler. The latter died In 1895. Mrs. Metzler has five sons, Peter, Frederick, Michael, Jacob and Martin, all well-known busi ness men; 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Tho entertainment was arranged by Mrs. Metzlers children and the Ladles' Aid Society of the German Lutheran Church of Roxborough, of which she has been an active member since Its organization. Unusually well preserved, with bright eyes that have never been aided by glasses, Mrs. Metzler walks to church on all clear Sundays and takes an active Interest In all Its varied works and charities.
