where Beatrice was visiting, and of find
ing the child dead.

TWO SAVED FROM FLAMES
Smother and Daughter Rescued When
Partington, N, J., Home Burns.
BARRINGTON, N. J., Dec. Sl.-Two
persons were rescued from a fire In tho
home of John Anderson shortly after 10
o'clock this morning. Several hundred
men and women formed a bucket brigade
and by heroic work, kept the fire from
spreading to the Harrington railroad sta
tion and other adjoining buildings. The
damage was $600.
Anderson, on employo of the Reading
Railway, was In Camden at the time. Mrs.
Anderson and her D-ycar-old daughter
wore rapped on the second floor and
cap-Jed down tho ladders by tho volunteer
firemen. '
