ing tho fact that the Liege works held

It was learned today that the Govern
lucnt has been conducting an Investiga
tion over since the Mons forts fell. It is
found that while the defensive works
were being built millions of dollars were
deflected from their proper channels Into
the pockets of contractors and dishonest
Government officials.

General Brlalmont, of the llelglan army,
