Mishler’s Celebrated Herb Bitters Is rapidly extending Its feme In the Monumental City.— The Evening Transcript notices It In the follow ing flattering terms: Thk Cholsba— lts Prevention and Cure.—Not withstanding the exertions of the best medi cal men of New York, this frightful disease still continues. It Is therefore the duty of every one to prepare for its advent in this city by strictly sanitary measures, personal clean liness, and the proper remldles at hand, in case of an attack, it Is generally known that the most efficacious remedy for cholera is that which possesses the most heating properties.— This was proved in the summer 1833. Among the remedies offered the Herb Bitters prepared by Mr. B. Mishler, of Pennsylvania,, are highly recommended as a preventive of this frightful scourge. The qualities claimed for the Herb Bitters are, that they diffuse a genial warmth, accelerate a healthy action upon the skin ana strengthen the system, enabling it to resist the disease. It Is but three years since this prepa ration was introduced to the public, yet it has nttolned great popularity in the treatment of dyspepsia, liver complaint, fever and ague, in termittent, remittent and typhoid fever, loss of appetite, nervous affections, rheumatism, and In fact all disorders resulting from a de ranged stomach or impurity of tho blood. The proprietor publishes a pai er devoted to the ex planation of this remedy and the cures per formed by it. Among a great number of cer tificates will be found a letter from the Rev. J H. McCord, dated Baltimore, April 0,1863, who certifies that he was cured of chroute dysen tery by these bitters. The proprietor does not keep secret the ingredients of which they are : composed. Send for a Circular and you i will learn the medical properties of oil the articles used in its preparation; also in the manor in which they operate on the system, and much other valuable information. If you are afflict* ed with disease send for one of Mishier’s Herb Bitters Circulars: read it carefully, profit by the hints it contains, and you.will be placdd on the sure road of recovery, Jan tfd<Srw JJISHLEB’S BITTERS WILL CURE ALL DISEASES OF THE SKIN ! Diseases of the skin are numerous and, with but one or two exceptions, may all bo traced to Impurity of the blood. In many persona this Impurity Is born In the system; while others acquire it through Improper treatment of scores of diseases. Under this head may bo classed— Ist, Scrofula,—Tnis disease Is hereditary and is transmitted from generation to generation. It is caused by a transgression of the laws of nature, both moral and physical; In other words, it Is caused by vice. Acting as a latent poison. It reduces the vitality of the blood,'and weakens the depurating organs, so that Ihey fall to discharge or cast out the impurities|toat are continually generatine In the system. A person physically pure acquires gouorhcea, or some other secret disease; he undergoes a course of mercury, the disease Is dried up; and the patient pronounced well. Vatu delusion. The complaint Is not cured, Its channel Is only diverted. Instead of making its appearance outwardly, it acts on the Internal organsjand scrofula, which Is bequeathed from father to son. is the result. Many persons who aro'per fectly free from all immorality and vice are af flicted with scrofula. They are suffering for the sins of their fathers ana laboring undor tbb curse Inscribed In the Bo ;k of Books. “ I will visit the iniquities of the futhers upon their children.” To cure this dreodfal complaint it is neces sary that the blood should be thoroughly purl flea, all the organs of the body brought into a. healthy state of action, and the system braced up ana strengthened by Invigorating tonics.— Look at the articles used in compounding Mlshler’s Hitters; see the array of purifying and Invigorating mendicaments. and > say whether there Is an article in the whole list of medicines thatequalsit. Wo here emphatically assert, without fear of contradiction, ;that MIBHLEK’B BITTERS WILL CURE ALL KINDS OF SCROFULOUS DISEASES. It purifies the blood, It strengthens the inter nal organs and aids them to perform their nat ural functions, It Is a stimulant and a tonlq and it will cure Scrofula. 2d, Running Sores and Ulcers.—Running sores and ulcers Invariably Indicate a scrofu lous taint. They are caused by the efforts of nature to discharge the impurities of the blood. Many persons aflllcted with running sorekand ulcers succeeded In drying them up and think they are cured when tue skin grows over the sore. They are, however, “but making! bad worse,” for the impurities that were discharged from the system through the medium of the sore now act internally and cause Innumerable diseases and often death. The only true land sure oure for all running sores and ulcers Is Mlshler’s Bitters, a continued and persevering use of which will most certainly effect alper manent cure. ■ 3d, Salt Rheum.—Salt Rheum is a vague; In definite, though, popular .term given to al most all the non-febrlie eruptions of the pkln which aUllct adults. It is generally an erup tion of vesicles In small, distinct ulcers] ac companied with a smarting, tingling sensation, witn a tendency to creep or spread over the ad joining surface. Mlsbler's Bitters are a sure cure for this disease. 4th. Pimples and Blotches.—Pimples , and Blotches on the skin are alwuys a sure sign of Impure blood. Although never dangerous, ex cept In cases of carbuncles, they are very dis agreeeble. Often we will see .me most hand some features rendered hideous by great blotches and pimples, and Instead of tue pleas ingflook which should Irradiate thohumanface we see nothing but disgusting corruption; for pimples and blotches urenotnlng but the,cor rupt accumulations of the system expelled through the medium of the skin. Theupoof Mishler’s Bitters; will force these corruptions to be discharged through the natural channels, and thus cures all kinds ofpimplesaud blotches. Ladles who desire a fair completion, free from pimples should bear this fact in mind apr 23 JJWICAtT OF UISHLER’S BITTERS. WONDERFUL CURE OF NEURALGIA! Mr. Benjamin Mishler, the proprietor of that most efficacious remedial agent, Mishler’a Herb Bitters, has Just received the following certificate of a most remarkable cure effected by means of his Celebrated Medicine. E. G. Pa., I >- April 16th, 1866. ) Mr. Benjamin Mishler— Dear Sib :—I deem it but duo to you that I should give you a state ment of the euro effeoted In toe person of my mother. Mrs. Nancy Groff, by tho use of your Herb Bitters. For a number of years she had been much afflicted with the most distressing pains In different parts of her right side. Bomo times her arm ana shoulder were affected, but more generally her leg and hip. So affected did theso become that she was at lost bed-rid den for a considerable portion of the time, and when comparatively free from pain quite un able to move about the house, except with the aid of a cratch or cane. Her life was thus raudo a scene of painful distress and existence almost aburtbon. she had applied to all tho physi cians within reach, and had diligently used such medicines as they gave her, bat all to no purpose. They pronounced her disease to be an incurable neuraJgio affliction. At length how ever, something like eighteen months since, she began to use your valuablo Herb Bitters. At once there was the most remarkable change. She was speedily relieved to a very great extent from the pain which had been the constant torture of her life, and in tho course of some six months was so completely restored to health as to be able to take a pleasure trip to the Western States. Since her return homo and at the present time, she has the complete’ and free uso of her limbs, is entirely froe from pain, and able to do her housework, to attend to her fiower garden, and to discharge all her domestic duties. Thinking that such a remarkablo cure should be made known, In order that those similarly afflicted may apply to the same efficacious means for relief, I voluntarily give you this statement to use as you see tit. Any person who doubts its authenticity can have all scru* Sea removed by writing to mo at tho New .olland post office. Yours, Very Respectfully, apr 17 tfdawl K. G. GROFF. BITTERN IN PHIL A DELPHI A. D., Editor of the Encyclopedia of Religious Knowledge aud Christian Chronicle, Philadelphia. Although not disposed to favor or recom mend Patent Medicines In general, through distrust of their ingredients and effects, I yet know of no sufficient reasons why a man may not testify to the benefits he believes himself to have received from any simple preparation, In tho hope that ho may thus contribute to tho benefit of others. I do this the more readily in regard to Hoof land’s German Bitters, preparoff by Dr. C. M. Jackson, of this city, because I was prejudiced against them for many years, under the im pression that they were chiefly an alcoholic mixture, I am indebted to my friend, Robert Shoemaker, Esq., for the removal of this preju dice by proper tests and for encouragement to try them when suffering from great and long continued debility. The use of three bottles of these Bitters at tne beginning of tho present year, was followed by evident relief ana restor ation to a degree of bodily and mental vigor which I had not felt for six months before, and had almost despaired of regaining. I therefore thank God and my friend directing me to the use of them. J. NEWTON BROWN, Philadelphia. Prom tho Rev. Tnos. Winter. D. D,, Pastor of Itoxborough Baptist Church.
