THE DINING ROOM COOK,
THE STOVE FOR THE FARMER.
The undersigned would ask the attention of Farmers and
others to his newly patented WOOD AND COAL STOVES,
called the "Dining Room cook," which possesses advanta
ges not found in any other. The oven is perhaps larger
than that of any other stove, being 16 by 26 inches in the
clear, while its peculiar construction ie such as to emit an
unusual degree of heat in a large room with striding con
soMption of fuel. For the Dining Room of the Farmer it
supplies a want long felt, and for This purpose it was eon
ffirtmted under the personal supervlidon of the rmdersigned.

Reader, I peddled over a thousand bottles of this in the
vicinity of Boston. I know the effect of It in every case.—
So sure as water will extinguish fire, so sure will this cure
humor. I never sold a bottle of it, but that sold another;
after a trial it always speaks for Itself. There are two
things about this herb that appear surprising; first, that
it grows in our pastures, in some places quite plentiful.
and yet Its value has never been known until I discovered
it in 1818—second, that it should cure all kinds of humor.
In order to give some idea of the sudden rise, and great
popularitN of the discovery, I will stare that in April, lesl,
I peddled it and sold about six bottles per day—in April,
1854, I sold over one thousand 'bottles per day of It.

be able to state confidently that Consumption is curaiile by

as a soh unti, the control of medical treatment as an c
other formidable disease; ninety out of every hundred
cases can bemired io the first stages, and filly per cent in
the second; but in the third stage it is impossible to rave
more than five per cent., for the lungs are an - - et up by the
disease as to bid defiance to medical. kill. Even. however,
in the last stages, inhalation affords extraordinary relief
to the suffering attending this fearful scourge which annu
ally destroys ninety-five thousand persons in the United

of tubercles is frotn impure blood, and the immediate effect.
produced by their deposition in the lungs, is to prevent the
free admission of air into the air cel Ili, which causes a weak
ened vitality through the entire system. Then surely it is
more rational to expect greater good from medicines enter
ing the cavities of the lungs than from those administered
through the stomach; the patient will always find the
lungs free and the breathing easy after Inhaling remedies.

The inhalation of ammonia will rouse the system when
fainting or apparently dead. The odor of many of the
medicines is perceptible In the skin a few minutes after

blood. A convincing proof of the constitutional effects of
inhalation, is the fact that sickness is always produced by
breathing tlell air. le not this positive evidence that proper
remedies, carefully prepared and judiciously administered
through the lungs, should produce the most happy results?
During eighteen years' practice, many thousands, suffering
from diseases of the lungs and throat, have been under
my care. and I have effected many remarkable cures. even

SANlTY AND CONSUMPTION] The records of the IN

sertions. In Lunatic Asylums the mot melancholy exhi

quite destitute—neither Mirth or Grief ever visits It.—
Should a sound of the voice occur, It is rarely articulate.

JA:S. A. lilluDES, Esq.—Dear Sir Yours of 2,d inst. in
at hand. The Cure arrived late loot year and the difficulty
in getting any one to try it wan greatly Increased from the
the fact that a remedy had been introduced which was
growing in favor with the public. as being better than using
Quinine,—not knowing I presnine that the remedy they
used to escape taking Quinine, contained the Drug Itself!
This remedy, (known as -Smith's Tonic,") would invert-
Illy break an Ague, but it did not cure it, as it would often
return with renewed ' , lgor. This one circumstance I deem
ed in your favor, if I could Institute a test comparison be
tween it and your cure. The following in the result:
Three persons took your "Cure," all of which were casett
of"Quotidianlntermittent Fever." of mnay weeks standing
They bad tried Qulniue, and other remedies, occasionally
missing a chill, but it was, (as in all such cases,) slowly
wearing them out, and laying the foundation for other and
severer maladies. I did succeed in effecting a radical cure
of all three of thee. cases with your remedy, and they have
,not had a chill mace. In oil three of these cases the
"Smith's Tonic" had been need, and would, as before sta
ted, break the chill, but after a period or two had elapsed
would return.
I think there will be no difficulty now in giving to your
"Cure" the advantage ground of any other remedy now in
use here, A., An WILLIAM BUCKNER, M. D.
Rhode's Fever and Ague Cure, or Antidote to Malaria,
the only harmless remedy in existence, is equally certain
as a preventive. as a "Cure." Take It when you feel the
chills coming, and you will never have a single one.
