Dear Sir: We have used Nur " Plastic Paints" or more than a year, and for Painting Bridges, Depots, &c., &c., we have found it quite equal to any paint we have used. In tact, we now give it a preference over all others we have tried for such purposes. Yours Respectfully, (Signed,) JOHN-TUCKER. President. Augusta, Ga., ,4 eptember 29, 18.52.2 Steam Planing Mille. Dear Sir: You ask me for my oninion of " Sil ver,s Mineral Paints," which you have put on my Machine Shop and Planing Mill. I give you with pleasure my full and hearty recommendation of it as a preventive of Fire communicating from Chim neys, or from adjoining buildings. The Paint which you put on my roofs, has now become an hard as slate, and I feel as secure from Fire, in this direc tion, as is possible. A few weeks after the goofs had been painted, I made an experiment on two or three shingles by placing them in the furnace under the boilers; the revolt was, that the portion uncov ered was ontirly consumed, while the painted part was apparently aound, though upon examination the wood was found to be charred; the Paint how ever wee firm and but little blistered. I consider this as severe a test as your Paint eon be put fn, and under the circumstances I do not hesitate to commend it as an invaluable preventive against Fire. The constitution of thousands who are raising families have been enfeebled, if not bro ken down, and they do not kcow the cause or the cure. Anything that can be done so to. enlighten and influence the public mind as to check, and ul timately to remove this wide-spread source of hu man wretchedness, would confer the greatest bles sing next to the religion of Jesus Christ, on the present and coming generations.
