Clickener’s Vegetable Purgative ARE the first rind only medicine ever discovered that will positively cure Headache, Giddiness, Piles, Dyspepsia, Scurvy, Smallpox, Jaundice, Pains in the Back, Inward Weakness, Palpitation of the in the Throat, Dropsy, Asthma, Fe vers of all kinds, Female Complaints,Measles, Salt Rheum, Heart-Burn, Worms, Cholera Morbus, Coughs, Quinsy, Whooping cough, Consumption, Fits, LiverC'ompkunt, Erysipelas, Deafne&, Itchings of the .Skin, Colds,' Nervous Complaints, and a va riety of other Diseases arising from impurities or Indigestion. It has been proved that nearly every disease to which the human frame is subject, originates from impurities ol the Blood or Derangements of the Digestive Cfi-gans; and to secure Health, we must remove those obstructions or restore the Blood to its natural state. This fact is universally known ; bul people have such an aversion to medicine, that, unless the case is urgent, they prefer the disease to the cure, until an impaired Constitution or a fit ol sickness rebukes them for the folly of their conduct. Still they had some excuse, fo Theretofore, medicine in almost all its forms, was nearly as disgusting as it was beneficial. Now, however, the evil is most ef fectually removed ; for CUckner's Vegetable Purga tive Pills, being completely enveloped with a coat ing of Pt'RF. white sugar, (which is distinct from the kernel) have no taste of medicine, but are as easily swallowed as bits of candy. Moreover they do not nauseate or gripe in the slightest degree, which- is , occasioned by the fact that they are compounded on scientific principles and operate equally on all the diseased parts of the system, instead of confining themselves to, and racking any particular region, (which is the great and admitted evil of every other known purgative.) Hence they Strike at the Root of Disense, remove all impuro humors from the body, open the pores externally and internally, promote the Insensible Perspiration, obviate Flatu lency, Headache, kc.— separate all foreign and ob noxious particles irom the chyle, so that the blood, of which it is the origin, must be thoroughly pure secure a free and healthy action to the Heart", Lungs, and Liver, and thereby restore Health even when°ali other meajis have failed. The entire truth of the above can be ascertained by the trial of a single box; and their virtues arc so positive and ccrtaiifin restoring Health, that the proprietor binds himself to return the money paid forthem in all cases where they do not give universal satisfaction. [nov 9-6mf4l Hedenlierg’s Patent Air-Tight Pari'or Coal Stove* ] Anew, beautiful, convenient, and fuel-saving Parlor Coal Stove is now lor the first": time introduced to the public. The proprietors feel confident, that upon an ex» aminauon of those in operation, they will be' pro* nounced to bo the best, most useful and iconomicul stoves yet invented. With a comparatively small quantity of fuel, this stove will radiate a greater quantity of heat, (not dry or parched, as is generally ibe case in ilia ordinary coal stoves,) than afiy other stove now in use. ‘ . CERTIFICATES. I have had one of Hedenberg’s air-tight, coal stoves in use since the middle of lust October—am entirely satisfied with it —and believe it to be supe rior to any description of stove hitherto introduced. It requires much less coni than a common radiamr stove ol the same size —produces no annoying radiant heat—and with ordinary* care there ca'.i be neither dirt on the carpet nor dust on the furniture. There is no difficulty in managing it, or in keeping up the fire over night, at small cost of fuel, by properly closing the checks. I have kept up the fire -fn mine continuously for a period ol five weeks. Before purchasing the one I lioa-c, I carefully examined a large variety of specimens from Other inventors and makers, exhibited at the Fair of the American Institute, in New York, and selected it as being, from its construction, most likelv to prove a superior article. A protracted trial of it’, in actual use, has convinced me that I did not mis estimate its merits; and I am fully persuaded that, as re gards convenience, cleanliness, and economy com bined, it will not easily be superseded. We have in operation in our counting-room .one of “ Hedenberg’s patent air-tight coal stoves,” which, by actual and constant use, for more than two months, we give ilie decided preference to any stove wiih which we are acquainted. The supe riority of ‘this stove over every oihcr kind wiih which we have any knowledge, i* that it dispenses a pleasant .and healthy heat throughout the room equally—consumes very little coal—is easily kept in order —and there is an entire absence of dust. We have some knowledge of almost every kind of stove heretofore introduced to the public,’but eon fidemly give this the ; York, Feb. 10,1847. P. A. & S. Small. I hereby certify lhatT have used “ Hedenberg-a patent air-tight coal stove,” for two months past, and that I arn better satisfied with it than any other coal stove J e ver used. I heat two large rooms by :t, a parlor and the chamber above, and heat them both at the same time, and with less consumption of fuel than is used in the ordinary coal stove to warm a single room. The heat is pleasanter than that of the former kinds of coal stoves, and is sufficient from a small fire to warm the laroest apartment. D. 11. Emerson. 0 York, January, 1847. I have this winter used one of ” Hedenberg’s patent air-tight coal stoves,” with much satisfac tion, warming with it, comfortably, two rooms, (one above the other,) without cousuming more fuel than was before jequired to warm one of those rooms. In the convenience with which it is managed, and the cleanliness of it, it exceeds every other coal stove I have yet used ; and the heat of it is more equal and agreeable, possessing less of that unpleasant dryness which,,is generally experienced from stone coal fires. The excellence of this stove has induced me to order another one the kind, to be used in the place of another coal stove which before had been considered a very good one. John Evans. York, February 4, 1847* For the purpose of exhibiting this stove to the citizens of Lancaster county, one has been put up at Mr. Christian Kieffer’s, in East King street, and another at the office of the “ Intelligencer & Jour nal,” where the public are invited to call and examine them in operation.
