A TftUl Crash en the Philadelphia & Head lee read at Exeter. In a erash en the Philadelphia & Read ing railroad, Saturdayaftcrnoen, at Exoter station, below Reading, William W. Kelehncr, a veteran railroader and super intendent of the company's signal tower, was instantly killed, an englne wreoked and a passenger car smashed. An empty engine waa sent down the read following a passenger train, and Mr. Kelchner was en the engine. The train stepped at Exeter and the engine crashed into the passenger car. Kelchner jumped for his life, but was hurled against the car and bis head crushed. He died instantly. The passengers were considerably shaken up and a few were bruised. Mr. Kelehner'a be !y was taken te Reading. He was in the service of the company for a long period. He was about 55 years e'd.
