In the Senate Mr. Sherman presented five petitions numerously signed by iron workers in Ohie against any reduction of duty en foreign manufactured products below rates, recommended by the tariff commission. Mr. Cameren (Pa.) presented ever forty similar petitions, and Mr. Mitchell also presented soveral. At the close of the morning business the tariff bill was taken up. Mr. Merrill asked unauimeus consent that debate be limited te five minutes for each speaker, but Mr. Beck objected. The consideration of the iron schedule was then resumed.
