Pricing ieit-urcly along, viswing .tfcte country' and noticing the fino crop, we arrived at the latter place about eleven 'o'clock.' "Here w had an elmrant dinner at tho Farmers' Commercial kptel, and after Jwkiqgbver in is enverprisiuKs 11110 iuhu iwr au jiuur or so, we mwhu ior,,,no jsamji erouuu, w which place wo. arrived jpsji m'timotb bear the gong ringing 0; afteroooo: ser vices, which were in. cliarge'of Rev.'.C. B. Chase, of Leport, Delaware, who had the whole attention of thoaudieuce' for almost au hour. He. is a nan of eood 'personal appearance, and .an ablb speaker. The woods in which the camp, is held is a tract of abou fourteen acres' of hickory, ,oak and chestnut; , wood, closoby .what is known as Battle Swamps, , and is rjeally a very desirable plaoofor a camp 'tip ,bo held. The woods are clear of underbrush 'and the trees are not so numerous as to pre vent driving between them. The tents, seventy-six in number, form a square around the pavilion which is a structure soroo foity by sixty feet,' -with- an awning ot tome twenty reet. aooto too puipic, printed on muslin, are the following mottoes : To the right, " Comn unto Mo all ye that are heavy laden and I will give you rest." In the centre, " Holiness to the Lord." To the loft, " The blood of Jesus Christ, His , sou, cle.insethjus from all sin." The pavilion is at the 'oait end of the square which the tents form, and ou llio west is the tabernacle, a large canvas teut open all around and covering homo hun dred feet of ground, which is covered with clean crisp straw, as is also tho 'ground uuder the pavilion. Tho tents are all clean and white and ato very nicely fur . nishcd, each ono apparently trying to excel tho other. There aro also two large board ing tents whero accommodations aro am ple. Tho confectionary is large, and com modious, part of it fccl off entirely for the accommodation of tho ladies. Tho facili ties for feeding hordes on the grounds aro complete. At six o'clock.-p. m., there was uxperi rience meeting iu the tabernacle conduct ed by Rev. Sleuulo. At eight o'clock a sermon by Rev. F.8. Nealrfrom Hebrews, chap. 18, verse 31. Ho is an eloquent lit tle man, who held 'tho audience for about forty minutes. The evening prayer meet ing was in charge of another- minister ; five at the alUr and three eonvrrsons. The crowd at tho camp was not as large as it usually is ou Saturday. After camp ing out iu true camp htylo, wo awoke in the morning in tiino for breakfast, and then walked around until 'six o'clock, (a. m.) services, , which were conducted by Rev. Biggs. Experience meeting at eight o'clock was vory earnest and interesting, and there was preach ing at ten o'clock by Rev. R. Ston- file. By this time there were at least five' thousand people ou the ground aud still coming iu from every direction? The or der in the enclosure and around the ground was excellent. A groat fcatuio of this meeting was nko.fact that though no one appeared to have chargo of the grounds, everything was quiet and orderly. This is the 12th annual camp that has been held on. these grounds and they always apife.u to bo a success. Tho afternoon services took place at 2 o'clock, preaching by the Rev. L. C. Mat tock, presiding elder of the Eastern dis trict ot Maryland. There were proMsnt the Revs. T. . Martindale, L. O. Mattock, E W. Chaw, E. II. Baker, A. D. Davis, C. F. Sheppard, R. C. Jones, T. A. Coch ran, W. J. O'Neal, W. Kemp, A. Stenglc; J. E. Brino and Adam Black. There woie at least 8,000 peoplo present in the after noon. The evening services were iu charge of J. E. Brine, who preached au able sermon. This camp began ou last Tuesday and will contihno until the com ing Friday. Another grand feature of this camp is the elegant water they have on the grouud. Taken all in all it will compare quito favorably with our Lnudis ville camp, and iu some features excel it. At 8 o'clock Sunday eve we started foi home, well pleased with out trip to Wood Juawn. T.
