The many friends of the faariKes 'who have been afflicted were shocked te hear yesterday bl the, death, at 1 o'clock en Sunday morning, of Mrs. Annette, wife of J. "W. B. Bausman, esq., and fourth daughter of Hen. Thes. . Franklin. Mrs. Bausman, who was one of thu brightest, beet , known and most popular young ladies of the city, was married in May, 1880. Mr. and Mrs. B. seen afterwards made a trip, te Europe and have since then lived in this city 'and were just completing an elegant new residence en the grounds of the Franklin property en West Chest nut street. Only since Thursday has her critical illness born a matter of general in formation and the end came with shocking suddenness te her wide circle of friends in this citj and throughout Eastern Penn sylvania. Death or Mrs. Julian Urablll. Mrs. Julian Grabill, who died at Me cbanicsburg, this county, en Friday, was buried today from , the residence of her son-in-law, Marks G. Wenger.' Mrs. Gra bill was in the 88th year of her age at the time of her death, and was a Weman of mere than ordinary physical, and .mental vigor. She waH widely known and highly respected. liratlierMra. Klizabeth Uetz. Mrs. Elizabeth Getz, widow of the late Geerge Getz, died of dropsy at the resi deuce of her son, Bcnjareiu G. Getz, Mouutvilie, en Bunqay evening, June 18, iu the 85th year of her age. She leaves, a very large circle of friends. Twe of her sons, Jehn aud Jacob S. Getz, are well known residents of this city ; aad it is' a sad coincidence that Jacob learned or his mother'fi death te-day while he was in at tendance .at the funeral of his wife's mother, Mrs. Grabill, whose death is mentioned above. Mrs. Getz will be buried en Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment at Lancaster cemetery. Death or Mrs. Fanny Froelich. Mrs. Fanny FreelFch, widow of the late Jehn Froelich, of West Hemplield town ship, died at the residence of her son-in-law, H. S. Celm, Mountville, Sunday morning, June 18, in the 75th year of her age. She had for a geed while past been troubled with heart disease, and her death was net unexpected. Her funeral will takeplace Wednesday afternoon. The funeral services will be held in the U. B. church, and the interment takes place iu Mountville cemetery. Heath of Rev. Dr. Brown, Rev. J. A. Brown. D. D.. father of J. Hay Brown, esq., of this city, died at his residence. Ne. 223 North Duke street, about half-past 2 o'clock this afternoon, from a return stroke of paralysis, having received a former stroke a year or two age. Or. Brown was about G5 years of age and was, at the time of bis death, ene of the ablest and best-known divines in the Lutheran church. Shortly alter entering the ministry he was appointed assistant te Rev. Dr. A. II. Lechman, of Yerk. This was his first charge and after rilling it for some time he went te Reading, where he labored successfully for many years. He subsequently went Seuth be fore the war te accept a professorship in Newberry college, Seuth Carolina. At the breaking out of the war he resigned his chair and came North. After a few years of quiet labor he was elected president of Pennsylvania college, Gettysburg, which position he held until within a few years age, wheu be was stricken with paralysis from which he never fully lecevered his speech being partially impaired, .and his arm aud limbs being somewhat en feebled. At the clese of the collegiate year 1881 he resigned the presidency and came te Lancaster in the fall of that year, where he has since lived. ' Will Vialt Pnlladelplila.
