Editors Intelligencer : Being tem porarily out of harness, I beg the use of your columns for tin purpose of briefly tendering the thanks of the Cumberland Valley Editorial association te the railroad companies and ether parties for the inter est they manifested in helping te make the second annual excursion of the associa tion the success it proved te be. Te General Boyd, superintendent Cum berland Valley railroad, Cel. Geerge B. "Wiestlinjj. of the Moct Alte railroad and park, Mr. A. L. Gardner, train master Western Mai y laud railroad, and the offi cers and employees of the .Baltimore &. Ohie & Shenandoah Valley railroad com panies, as well as these of the ether com panies, the association makes its most profound acknowledgements for their many courtesies. Nothing it asked for that was net giantcd, and everything was dene te coutribu'e te the comfort and pleasure of the association and its guests. Te the citizens of Martinsburg and Charlestown, W. Va., we feel under obli gations which cat. hardly ever be repaid. The trip did much te cement the friend ship fast growing u; between these who twenty years age, were arrayed in deadly warfare.
