Dersey, of St. Denis, 3Id was very properly awarded, in additieu te numerous ether premiums, the special premium of $10 for the best collection of fowls en exhibition. I me, as is his cel- i lectien, he has added largely te it while in Lancaster by purchasing a large number j of the finest birds exhibited by ether I breeders. i II. S. Garber, of Mount Jey, eujeys the distinction of exhibiting the fowl soeting the highest uumbcr of points. It is a Parti idge Cechin hen aud scored 'JJ points out of a possible 100. It was awarded, as a special premium, a folding i exhibition coop, and in connection with Silver Sebright Fowls, no premiums ; Dr. D. F. Reyer, its mate, a fine ceak scoring 93V points, took 1st premium and a year's subscrip tion te the weekly Intelligencer. 3Ir. Garber's breeding pen of Partridge Cochins was awarded the silver cup valued at $10, given by 31r. 31. L. Grcidcr for the breeding pen of White, Black, Buff or Pattiidge Cochins scoring the irrcatest number of points. A. S. Flowers, of 3Ieuut Jey, carried oil' almost all the premiums, regular aud special en White Cochins, none of his birds scoring less than 92 points and seme of them as high as 9S. His exhibits at tract much attention. T Frank Evaus, of Lititz, aud S. G. Engle, of Marietta, divide the piincipal honors and profits en exhibits of Black Cochins, their birds scoring well up in the nineties. Of Games, T. Iv. Beuuutt, f Phillips btug, had the largest number, the greatest variety and took the greatest number of premiums. One of his Br. 15. Red pullets scored 93 points, was a warded 3 as the best el her class and a special valued at $10. The display of Bantams is very large aud line, and the bulk of the premiums weie awarded 3Iessrs. Dersey and Ben nett, and Dr. 31aple, of Tieaten, N. J. There arc many line exhibits et" Ham burgs, of all colors ; but Geerge C. Liller, of this city, knocked the persimmons. He entered but a single pair of Black Hamburg chicks aud with them he was awarded the following : for best pair Hamburg chicks 1st premium aud special ; for best Ham-ber-r pullet of her class special premium : for best. Hamburg ceckeiel, special pre mium ; for best pair of Hainburgs of any vatiety, special premium. It is net often that a "single pair" wins se big a pet. Jes. R. Trisslcr, of this city, roped in a majority of the premiums eflbral for Brown Leghorn;', and Rebert R. 3Ierris, of Potts villc, for White Leghorn chicks ; though Henry Neater, of Yerk, took first premium for White Leghorn fowls. Se far as Plymouth Rocks are concern ed, Dr. D. F. Reyer, of Shady Greve, Franklin county, sits down en everybody else. In addition te the legular cash picmiums awaulcd him he e.mied oil" ten specials, valued at 33.50. B. L. Weed, of Dee Run, Chester coun ty, was awarded first premium for best pair of Bronze Tuikeys, thececk scoring 97 and the hen 99 points. S ,G. Engle had ou exhibition a heavier pair, but the cock had accidentally hurt his wing wliich re duced his score. J. AY. Biitekhart, of Salunga, took 1st aud two special premiums for a fine pair of white turkeys. H. II. Tshudy, of Lititz, showed :t heavier pair, but the cock was "disqalilied " because he had a .small black feather in his tail. There was a warm contest between Jeliu E. Sebum and Chas. Linneld. both of Lan caster, for the pigeon championship.
