Case Some Characteristic Outburst. Washington, Dec. S3. CIiristuiassliop CIiristuiassliep piu seems te ceuducc toward diminution in the number of ladies present at the Guiteau trial. Immediately upon the opening of court Guiteau made a speech aecianng that while sceville was a geed enough real estate lawyer he was net a geed criminal lawyer and was spoiling his case. He then asked that Charles H. Reed, of Chicago, be permitted te take charge. Sceville also requested that Heed be admitted as an associate counsel. After some discussion Mr. Reed Ayas iccegnied as associate counsel. Guiteau cams in here with a, characteristic outburst, during which he said that there was tee much rubbish being introduced into the case. He thought that if he could net get justice from the court Ged would protect him by "remov ing" a juror. Mr. Sceville explained that the letter of yesterday from Dr. Spitzka, was written te him and net te Guiteau. William A. Edward, of Brooklyn, testi fied te hearing the prisoner say he would some day kill some biz man as Beeth had deue. Under cress-examination wit ness acknowledged this made no impres sion ou him, because Guiteau said se many queer things, and witness believed the prisoner would be the last man in the world te jeopardize his own security. Guiteau thought witness ought te be kicked off the stand. " Dr. Jfpence II. Taleett, of Middletown. X. Y., who has treated ever one thousand cases of insanity, considered the prisoner saue.
