His sister Alice has appeared with a number of the best companies, and Mart Hanley, their man ager, is the man who successfully managed Harrigau and Hart for many years. The lithograph of Pat Roency and Harry Miner " Burying the Hatchet"' can be understood when it is known that ler a tune they were very bad friends. The cause of the fight was that Roency, who made a contract te play with Miner for two weeks, desired te break the contract. Miner was opposed te this, as be knew that Rooney is a big card. He took the matter into court and get a de cision in his favor which restrained Rooney from playing with any ether manager. Roency then saw that he could de nothing and he and Miner then adjusted their diffi culties. Frem their appearance in the picture-thcy both seem well pleased with the way matters stand. While Arlington's minstiels were en their way from Versailles, Ky., te George town, Jan. 28, in an omnibus diawn by four horses, in descending a hill which was very slippery near Midway, the team became unmanageable, and upon reaching the bridge ever Elkhorn creek the vehicle struck the railing and went ever into ten feet of water, crashing through the ice. There were sixteen people inside and two en the top of the stage, besides a large quantity of heavy baggage. Citizens in the neighborhood came te the rescue and with axes shattered the reef of the vehicle and extricated the passengers. Billy Marr, comedian, was seriously injured. Mrs. Arlington was badly huit and all the ethers were bruised, some having bones beken. Most of the musical instruments were demolished, and one of the horses was killed.
