The flames spread rapidly to tbe adjoining buildings, barn, packing houses and office, and threatened the properties In tho neighborhood with destruction. The residence of W. M. Rapsher, Esq., for a tlmo was In Ira mlneot danger ; so much so that bo re moved all of bis household goods, there by sustaining some loss, but by tho earnest co-operation of firemen and citizens, the building was savod.
