were John Edwards and Thos. -Morgan.

word ran high between Slavln and Ed
wards. Subsequently tho entire party

suraed. Edwardi was knocked down,

panion; Morgan ran away. Fearing
that ho would boated, Edward:) drew a
revolver, and fired In the air to frighten
his assailants. They did not desist,
