Robbery. A fellow named Frank
Dtner was brought to town oa Monday night, by

was arrested, and lodged in our Jail, charged oa
oath of Joha Kotler, Sr., of this borujh, , with

Editorial Association has been fixed for the week
beginning on the 19 In Instant. The mom b on of
tbe Association are to readesvoua at Williams
port, on the evening of that day, and will pro
ceed on the 2ythto Welkins ' Ulen, where the day
will be spent. On Wednesday there will be an
excursion to Pen Yen, Keuka Lake, Hammonds
port, etc., and on Thursday tbore will prob.ibly
be an excursion on Sen oca Lake, with the annual
dinner of the Association in the evening. On
Friday the party will return homeward. This
will make, without a doubt, a Tory pleasant trip.
In 187t, and 1872 the Association rendeavousci
at Williamsport, going in the former year
to Watkina Glen, and In the latter to Erie
and the Oil Regions. Both excursions
were extremely satisfactory, and led to the
subsequent ones which the Association has taken.

A Monster Locomotive. The rail
road shops at Altoona have recently turned out
some large engines. The Harrlsburg Patriot, of
Friday last, gives tha following description of
ono of them: "Yesterday th Johnstown ir-
presswbioh arrives in this city at half past 1 P. H.
was brought from Altoona by a mammoth engine.
Thisnglnj ll labelleJ No. 1 and weighs 90,201
pounds. It contains eight driving wheels and Is
modelled after th Modoc freight engine. It
was built in the Altoona shops during tbe month
of May and li supposed to be capable of great
speed. Tbe engine will draw fast passenger
train on the New Jersey division of the
Pennsylvania railroad between Philadelphia and
New York. It ii calculated that the new eagin
will run ninety-six milei In ninety minutei. A
new feature I the forward coupling attachment,
which works by means of a chain and pulley
